The Chicago Tribune has had someone parked in that press box since 1916 - Sullivan should know this was never truly the case, and shouldn't be reporting as though it was.

It's not about the Tribune selling the story, it's a national assumption about Cubs fans and has been for a long time. Bruce Miles is also reporting on the lack of attendance. Why do you care that they are reporting about empty seats?

I loathe hyperbole in the press. Despite all the media blather generated in the last few days, the Cubs will draw 3 million again or miss just by a whisker. The stories lead you to believe that attendance has collapsed.

 

As for Miles, he should also know better.
