For the benefit of those of us who are listening to Pat & Ron..... you wanna share ??

Last night Len went on a bit of a ramble about the oddities of the letter Q, eventually leading Bob to deadpan, "this sounds like a Mitch Hedberg routine."

Tonight, Len was waxing eloquent on how he doesn't feel right eating yogurt when it's a certain length past the expiration date, prompting the production truck to ask "why do they put an expiration date on sour cream?"

And so on and so on.

Hope they don't trade Z for the sake of trading him (and having to pick up a hefty salary and get mediocre talent in return).

Nice play by Aramis. I see Brenly wasn't complaining there.

One out, no one on base and a 1-2 count on the hitter turns into this because Marmol can't throw strikes.

Maddening, isn't it?

Marmol is just trying to help the Cubs record in one run games.

For a second there i thought he was trying to help the cubs quest towards the record.

Z apparently had a lot on his mind last night.

WASHINGTON — After his best start of the season Tuesday night in a 5-4 victory over the Nationals, Carlos Zambrano flew back to Venezuela to deal with a family crisis.

Zambrano's 11-year-old nephew has contracted a deadly disease, he said, and the family needed him there.

"I have a nephew that's in bad condition," he said. "He had a (bacterial) infection and is in a hospital in Venezuela."

Zambrano will rejoin the team in Cincinnati this weekend, and make his next start Monday against the Pirates at Wrigley Field.
