Too bad that they just had to call up Cashner as a reliever, becasuse this would have been the best fit.

Why is Zambrano not starting? The Cubs are completely out of the race, and no one is going to pay for a 18 million dollar mop-up/middle relief man. His value can't get anywhere but up starting the rest of the season.

At this point he needs to be stretched out a bit, I think. He'll probably be back in the rotation by the end of the year in hopes of reclaiming some value and making him tradeable in the offseason.
