Im surprised I havnt seen this on the internet yet, even on NBA.com, but I heard it on Boers and Bernstein on the way home. He was found shot in the head in the woods in Memphis. He was last seen leaving his ex-wifes house.

Wright was the 7th overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft by the Clippers and played 13 NBA seasons for the Clippers, Hawks, Grizzlies, Kings, and Cavs. His final season was '08-'09 in which he played 18 games for the Cavs.

Very sad day for Tiger/Grizzly fans. My father-in-law is a cop and he's the one who found the body. Said it wasn't a pretty sight.

A shame. It's going to be interesting to find out if he knew his killers or not. Seems like there's been more and more robberies/attacks against professional athletes in the past couple/few years.

The internet isn't that big of a place.

Yeah, I mentioned him being missing in the Bulls thread too for some odd reason. But it's been on CNN.com this week too, so yeah....

I think he definitely knew the killers. It's all very strange. His ex-wife says he left her house at 2:00 in the morning Monday the 19th with someone she didn't recognize. Not long later a call comes in to 911 and the operator hears "oh [expletive]" followed by 10 to 12 gunshots and the phone goes dead. Very odd.

I knew there was a mystery 911 call, but the rest of that is new info to me...yeah, that sounds like people he knew somehow.

Per Rotoworld, police just took his ex-wife into custody. Neighbors said a large fire was going in her backyard shortly after he went missing. Unusual because it was around 100 degrees that night.
