BA has a subscriber-only puff piece on Hak-Ju Lee. There's not much of note in the article, but here's a quote.

"His defense is his strength and you want to keep it that way," Fleita said. "You want to see him aggressive, come get all the balls and make the routine plays look routine. Everything else will fall into place. When you play everyday you learn a little bit about yourself. You go into slumps but you figure ways to get out of them. When you can run like he can run, there is no reason to have any prolonged slumps."

Maybe he is the prototypical leadoff guy that the Cubs keep claiming to be looking for. Since the ASB, his OBP has been .392 and his 83% sb success rate is not too shabby. Great to see him turning his season around after the very slow start.

samardzija hit a 2-run homer... maybe he can try his hand as a position player since he sucks at pitching.

great control by the pitchers in the tenn game - the opposing pitcher had 4 walks in the first inning and then dolis had 2 walks and a hbp in the bottom of the frame. btw, this is what MiLB.com lists in dolis' bio:

Signed by the Chicago Cubs as a non-drafted free agent on Aug. 6, 2004...scouted by Jose Serra and Marino Encarnacion...signed as nondrafted free agent by the Baltimore Orioles, July 26, 2001.

i'm thinking that note about the orioles is wrong since he was 13 in 2001.

Maybe it means July 26, 2010 and the Orioles signed him today?
