The Pirates fired one of their mascots for criticizing the contract extensions for Huntington and Russell on his Facebook page.

i think huntington is actually doing all right. he should've gotten more in a few trades, but he's hardly the only guy to trade talent for prospects that ended up washing out (sabathia, cliff lee). the big thing as that the pirates are spending freely in the draft.

The pierogi got his job back. Supposedly that isn't because of any bad publicity but because they didn't follow proper procedures when firing him in the first place.
