Hung-Wen Chen went 6 scoreless innings today, lowering his ERA to 2.43. Is he a person worth paying attention to or has this season been a fluke? He doesn't get a lot of strike outs and seems to rely on contact. He also has struggled in the past. Does he have the potential to be a solid back of the rotation pitcher or has he just been lucky?

Good to see Brett Jackson hitting again. 3-4 with a 2B and a 3B so far. Too bad Vitters cant get in on the fun.

Also a stolen base. He's been on fire lately batting .375/.444/.700/1.144 in the past 9 games with 13 RB1s and 4SBs to add to it. I could see him getting promoted pretty soon. I just wish he'd stop striking out so much.

average fastball that has some sink and decent-solid secondary options. More of a guy that might be a rubber arm type than a back of the rotation arm, imo. With the number of pitchers in our system, I don't really see him making it up in the rotation if he makes it up, but with the right team and right situation, could I see him get a chance as a 5th starter? Not impossible.

This will certainly pale in comparison to the tear that Brett Jackson is on, for Junior Lake fans its not a small matter that he's walked 6 times in his last 27 ABs (10 games). For a guy who, by all accounts has a world of raw talent, and walked 18 in 463 ABs in the MWL last season, he's now walked 15 times in 138 ABs this year in the FSL. Even for a guy who just turned 20 a few months back, he's still got a long way to go. But this is a positive development.
