If Bucher right, you're all going to be very disappointed.

Tweet about an hour ago: As of the moment, all signs point to this scenario: LBJ (Cle), Wade + Bosh(Mia), Boozer(Chi), Amare(NY). Not that that's startling news.

Yeah, that is pretty much guessing and not reporting.

It's a really good guess.

If that scenario happens, can the Bulls keep Hinrich?

But it is still a guess based.

Re: Hinrich:

I doubt it, seeing as both Paxson/Gar and Grunfield are businessmen, and backing out of a deal now would pretty much put them with the Chris Wallace as GMs with little to no credibility. But the question is: why would you want Hinrich back? It was a good deal, one that was needed to be made. So why would you want Hinrich back?

Spurs allegedly like George Hill to take over full time at PG (which I think is nutty because he's not nearly as good as TP, although he is hurt a lot) and people think Eva is talking in Parker's ear about getting to a more glamorous market. I think Lee would work really well next to Duncan too.

And I'm not sure Bosh hasn't shown interest in Texas. Broussard said earlier today that Bosh didn't want to play in his home town of Dallas but Houston would be attractive. They've got nice pieces to trade with and he can play next to a legit center in Yao. I think that's why he's interested in Chicago too because he knows Noah will do all the dirty work at C.

I've heard this, but I think San Antonio would rather trade him at the deadline in 2010-11 or SNT next offseason, as opposed to acquiring a guy like Lee.

I get the impression from Bosh that he prefers not to return home, because of distractions I know funny coming from a player who is milking free agency for everything it's got. I think his heart is set on Miami, would not turn down Chicago, but would only go back Texas is there was no other choice.

Amar'e signs with New York.

Actually, nobody signs until the 8th. He "committed".

Ahh I see that now. Domino number one has fallen anyway. At least Knicks fans can look forward to 50 wins and a bunch of points every season.

They're not winning 50 games with just Stoudemire added.

Heh, you're right. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I can't believe how badly overstated I just made Stoudemire after making fun of Thrill about him two years ago.

PVDCavsInsider had several interesting tweets:

Based on several people who have talked to LeBron in last 72 hours, he is giving impression he's undecided after last week's meetings.

He really likes Rose & Noah. But there's lack if shooters on roster. Also it doesn't sound like he's exactly being welcomed by Rose.

Also, can confirm several reports of a rift between Wes Wesley & James camp. Wes was indeed pushing Chicago, I'm told.

At this point, LeBron has tightly closed ranks, only seriously talking about decision with a couple people. Which is why so little info.

Didn't say Rose was anti-LeBron. But the word is preference was Joe Johnson. They have same agent. That is what multiple people tell me.

Dwayne Wade postponed a schedule Tuesday morning press conference, not wanting to take free agency questions.

Wade's youth basketball camp for children was beginning Tuesday, and part of the day's itinerary was to include a question-and-answer session alongside Alonzo Mourning about the charity weekend they will headline in South Florida later this month. Shortly after midnight Tuesday, officials for the charity event called the Summer Groove said the news conference would be rescheduled.

Wade's side had concerns that free agency would be the only matter discussed at the news conference, and there had been internal discussions for several days about canceling the event.

If Rose prefers JJ over Lebron I worry about his basketball intelligence level.

you mean a young PG prefers a 2-guard that can handle the ball but is effective without the ball in his hands all the time, won't demand 30+ PPG and suddenly be anointed leader of the team that the young PG wants to lead? You mean he might prefer that to the second-coming of MJ? Maybe Rose just isn't wild about being pushed to the back burner by the team and fans just a couple years after being ROY and becoming a leader of this team. Maybe he thinks the team could win titles with JJ and Lee without having to deal with the LeBron circus.

I could certainly understand some resentment by other players when a guy like LeBron wallows in the spotlight while their fans and FO kiss his ass.

LOL! Right. As I said he's crazy...

If Rose would rather be the leader of a decent but not great team for the next 10 years than take a supporting role and win titles, then I'm disappointed in him.

that's not viewing it from his perspective. that's taking your assumptions and then fitting his (alleged) position into it.

James is, no question, a better individual player than JJ. I don't think Rose is questioning that either. But would the Bulls be better with James or JJ + some big guy? We all assume so, but it's possible that James and all that comes with him (including World Wide Wes) isn't all positive for a team. I have no idea either way. But it's certainly possible that Rose believes that he could be the leader of a great team (w/o LBJ) rather than a supporting role in an equally or less great team (w/ LBJ).

That might mean that Rose just isn't a good GM and shouldn't be tasked with deciding who should be signed by the Bulls. But it's also possible that he knows more about how to construct a winning NBA team than we all do. Either way, preferring one player to another doesn't necessarily make him stupid or not a team player.

Plus, it's all hypothetical and assumes that the source of this is accurate re: Rose's feelings about James.

Well, it's not his decision. Plus, I don't think I'm disappointed in him if he feels like HE can be the superstar that gets it done. That's actually how I want him to feel.

This goes back to what TT said a couple months ago when he corrected me on the "LeBron needs a point guard" thing. Rose knows (heh) he'll be reduced to a guy who hangs out on the perimeter waiting for LeBron to slash and kick.

Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer has confirmed reports that William "Wes" Wesley was indeed pushing LeBron James to Chicago.

There has been a reported rift between LeBron's camp and Wesley.

"Also, can confirm several reports of a rift between Wes Wesley & James camp. Wes was indeed pushing Chicago, I'm told," Windhorst wrote on his Twitter page.

if Rose [expletive]-blocks LBJ from coming to the Bulls, he's going to lose more fans than he gains, especially if he doesn't turn into a superstar that leads the team to the next level

He's not the type of guy that's going to be able to do it himself anyway. He's going to need some help.

Rose isn't a fool. I don't know where this report came from, but I don't trust it for a second.

I don't doubt it for a second. Why would a point guard whose game is based on driving to the basket want to give up that to have the offense run through someone else? LeBron and Rose are not a good fit.

Yeah, I posted several Windhorst tweets further up on this page...including that one. :)

Then neither are Rose and Wade.

It's stupidity to think that Rose can't co-exist with either of them.

I'm not sure who you meant to write there for "Rose." But I agree that LBJ/Wade are not a good fit. LeBron needs someone that can run an excellent pick and roll and good perimeter shooters.

He meant Rose. He meant that if Rose isn't a good fit with LBJ, then he's not with Wade either.

Becuase it's bad news for the Bulls, that's why it's not trustworthy. Haven't you been paying attention the last 90 pages or so?

We could always have Rose take the SAT's to see if he is.
