If LeBron can't guarantee another max player coming to Chicago/Miami/New York/NJ, then Cleveland makes just as much sense as anybody.

Maybe at winning regular season games.

If there's one thing this current Bulls team has proven, it's that it's a postseason juggernaut.

How many playoff games are the Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao led Cavaliers capable of winning? You realize that's the apples to apples comparison here.

I predict after all this speculation and excitement, Lebron stays with Cleveland.

If he was going to stay with Cleveland, I don't know why he wouldn't have already done that.

Who knows? I never said he has made his final decision. Maybe he just wants to see exactly what kind of other situations are out there.

Or maybe he loves all of the attention -- if he goes back to Cleveland for a 3-year deal, they'll love him more than ever before and he looks like an all-around good guy.

Varejao 8.6 PPG 7.6 RPG 0.9 BPG

Noah 10.7 PPG 11 RPG 1.6 BPG

Sideshow Bob's a better defender

Quite debateable.

An agent representing several free agents expects the Heat to land Chris Bosh.

The Heat would have to work on a sign-and-trade to give Bosh a maximum level contract.

An executive of another team with considerable cap space said Wednesday he was unaware of any pending agreement involving Bosh.

The Heat would likely send Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmpers and Joel Anthony.

my best friend (and generally knowledgeable sports fan) posted an anti-LBJ status on Facebook today, saying that "he just wants money, he doesn't want to win, etc." I hate having to punk him in front of everybody, but that inane garbage just can't slide

take about 4 of those rebounds away from verajao and give them to noah if lebron decides to bring the brick show to town.

Not everyone can have dead-eye shooters at every position like the Bulls.

I don't know, not a lot. Just like the Bulls. It just seems odd to go with the "way to not win the title Cavs" argument, when you're dealing with a roster that has a combined 1 playoff series win 4 seasons ago.

It's a valid argument because if the Cavs had won the title we wouldn't even be having this discussion. He'd almost certainly resign with Cleveland.

And my feeling is that if you take Lebron off the Cavs they don't win more than 30 games.

Considering how much attention LeBron deservedly gets, and how much of the game he deservedly commands, how well his supporting cast would do without him is a pretty irrelevant point. It's like saying the Phillies defense would give up way more runs if Roy Halladay weren't pitching.

Well if that's the argument you go with to sway Lebron from Cleveland, wouldn't the obvious choice be to go to Miami, where they've actually won something? (assuming Wade is back)

I don't really think it is.

Well if he wants to compare chances at winning a title relative to Cleveland then I'd say it's very relevant. What isn't an apples to apples comparison is to say "Oh he shouldn't go to Chicago (or anywhere else) because those teams didn't win championships just like Cleveland!"

You're the one talking about the postseason as if it's the only time all year where they have to play 5 on 5/without trampolines/not lacrosse.

I think there's something fundamentally wrong with the team that it can do so well in the regular season and flame out in the playoffs. Maybe it's just coaching but I definitely don't think it's just sample size. The Cavaliers were making some history by winning so many games and not even advancing to the Finals.

And I wouldn't be breaking news to suggest that it's probably a big factor in his decision making.

Woj tweeted that the Hawks offered a 6 year max Birds Right deal to Joe Johnson. It's good in the sense that he's not worth nearly that much but maybe bad in the Lebron sweepstakes.
