The Cubs outrighted Parisi to AAA, so I assume that means that he's passed through waivers and StL did not claim him back.

 

The spring training roster stands at 31 and the 40 man stands at 37.

I commented on previous thread about Blanco. He had been outrighted once by St. Louis. He cleared waivers. He had the option of refusing an outright by the Cardinals again and declaring free agency. He chose to stay with the Cubs.

And also a smart rule 5 pick by the Cubs (I have a hunch this scenario was in their minds when they made that pick)
