Andres Blanco to Rangers for PTBNL

Prior to the trade, none of the MI's on the roster could be sent down without clearing waivers (and/or their approval in some cases). This trade is as much about "getting something in return" as opposed to "losing somebody for nothing" imho.

 

I think they were also doing Blanco a favor. He had no future with the organization, but liked the guy and knew the Rangers were looking for a utility guy and they figured theyd send him where he has a chance.
