Okay. I saw that your first pick was on your team, so I didn't know what team you were referring to. However, I was not able to put my guy on my team, so I have yet to learn what exactly that extra step is. Not that I'm really all that interested in knowing.

I'm pretty happy with the 2 guys I got so far, but in hindsight I should probably have taken Westmoreland over Teheran first (I had Teheran/Westmoreland/Miller at the top of my list when I picked, so at least I got 2 of the 3).

 

I also had the top 7 Cub prospects on my radar, but wasn't willing to overdraft to get them. So I got zero. I mean, I would've taken Castro had he fallen to 14, but I kind of figured he wouldn't. Would've taken Jay/Brett Jackson with my next pick if either were still there.

By my calculations, won't Deven need to drop 2 minor leaguers at the same time he makes his latest selection since he's sitting at 11 now and his new pick would put him at 12?

 

And if a player gets dropped in this process, I would assume that they could be picked up again in this draft if one so desired. Correct?

the problems last year had to do with changing the format at the last minute - should work ok this year. That being said, I am not sure why the draft room link is not appearing.

Not to be a stick in the mud but hasn't the 24 hour window closed? Deven went on the clock yesterday at 9:30am or so and made his pick last night around 11pm when at the same time he should have dropped the minor leaguers he was over on his roster. Is that correct?

Makes sense to me. Until he makes his drops you don't know who the best available player is. If you make a pick, then he drops somebody you'd prefer, that player might not still be available by the time your turn comes around again.

Although we may be nearing the end of the draft. I can make 4 picks, but I don't think I'll be making a 5th one. There isn't anyone I'd drop at this point for what's left in this draft. Yeah, that's why I added a player to the database and a few other player to team additions, just so I could get the feel of it and to help you out. I hadn't done it before, so I figured I'd give it a rip.
