I don't think I buy that it was suicide. He might have hollered at her to stop the truck or he would jump in hopes that it would get her to stop the truck. I'm still guessing he fell out of the truck after she either put her foot down harder on the gas peddle or maybe straightened out the wheel of the truck before impacting some stationary object.
