I can't see Hester getting a 2nd rounder. He's a mediocre receiver and hasn't returned a kick to the house in 2 years. Historically the best returners have a peak of 2-3 years and never come close to that success afterwards.

I'll bet Iglesias would be fine too, in rookie terms. Bears want us to believe all these guys are "not ready." most of the time we find out they should have been playing earlier.

 

Gilbert should be playing too. There's no reason to protect underperforming vets at this point.

I think it's been under reported how the Bears have gotten absolutely nothing out of Gilbert, Iglesias, Moore, Melton, etc. Are these guys even on the roster? I haven't heard anything about them.
