It's a simple enough question, is Lincecum the best pitcher in baseball, if not then just the National League?

In his two full seasons he's posted ERA+'s of 169 and 176, with 169 being a league leader. K'9's of 10.5 and 10.4, both league leaders and of course led the league in overall strikeouts both years with 265 and 261. His Hr/9 is 0.4 both years, with the first being a LL. H/9 of 7.2 and 6.7, the first being a LL.

It should be noted that by best pitcher I mean a combination of performance, "stuff", and likely future production barring and kind of random injury (not related to the small frame and crazy delivery).

I demand the 4 people who haven't voted for him as best period explain why. Not that it will really solve anything because their is no sensible reason.

Greinke.

I guess but Grienke has one season on this level and then 100+ starts and 650 or so inning on a 3.5-4 ERA level (I know it's not the end all be all but its a good starting point).

Meanwhile Lincecum has done it in two straight seasons and only has his rookie season where he didn't dominate.

Still though there are 2 people who didn't even vote for him as the best in the NL.

Given the explanation in the first post, I could see not voting for Lincecum based on the small frame and perceived injury risk. For a single game played right now, I'd pick Lincecum, Greinke, Halladay and Haren as my top four. For future value, I might give Greinke and Haren the edge based on injury risk & age versus Lincecum & Halladay.
