if he is well put together next season he will be nasty...i am not saying he is a better player...but i wouldn't be surprised to put up number similar or even better...the kid is a pure hitter

I think most people would be VERY surprised if he put together similar or better numbers to Pujols for any kind of extended period of time.

A "tad" less slugging? Look at their numbers to this point. What makes you think Votto's going to surge in slugging to or near Pujols' typical performances?

 

This comparison makes no sense. A 30-40 point difference in OBP and Votto actually slugging like he does doesn't make him anything like Pujols or "Pujols lite."
