If the Twins can manage to hold onto their 10-7 lead (Which is questionable, considering at one time it was 10-0) they would only be down 1 game to Detroit with 2 to play. This is getting moderately interesting.

Yup...personally I want to see a 1 game playoff on Tuesday to close out the Metrodome (unless they win). I would prefer the Tigers make the playoffs, but I also want it to be as close as possible. That mean's I have to cheer for the White Sox grr.

The NL West is interesting also, though less so than the AL Central since both the Rockies and Dodgers are in while only one of the Twins and Tigers will make the playoffs.

 

Colorado is up 4-3 right now and would be one game back of the Dodgers if they hold on. Also, the Rockies would be tied with Philadelphia for the second best record in the NL, meaning the if they sweep the Dodgers, they not only would win the NL West but could get the top seed and home field.

I'm really pulling for the Twins. If I weren't a Cubs fan I'd definitely be a Twins fan. I admire their entire team's work ethic and fundamental approach to the game. They're always mediocre on paper and each year they fight for a playoff spot. They're kinda awesome
