lol you're sig text is so ironic

Why?

What am I doing that is trollish?

Joining up this late in the season when the Cards have it in the bag annoys me. Haven't read many of your posts thoug.

Oh, I see what you're saying.

I've read people mock the Cubs fans on "nsbb" on The STL Post Dispatch site a lot - but half the people there are so irritating I can't stand them.

I actually joined here because I enjoy talking to Cubs fans about the STL/CHC rivalry. I have 3 friends that are DIE HARD Cubs fans.

I hope you guys don't think I'm here to start trouble - I'm really not.

I just love baseball, and I love this rivalry.

I have been following CardsDinoTest's posts, and he has been what I call a true baseball fan....I have been a die hard cub fan since I was in the womb, but let's be realistic...this team is pure crap...the cards are a much much better team, and you all might hate me for saying this, I hope they go on and win the WS...I would love to see DeRo get a ring, and they are a damn good team...you have to respect that...Hendry took something so right, and turned it so wrong...

It sucks that the Cubs are out of the race, but in some ways it makes these games more enjoyable. The past few years have been stressful and I have lived and died with every game, but now I'm able to just sit back and try to enjoy what is left of the season. This has been a fun game to watch.

Thank you - I consider that a huge compliment.

I'm definately not here to gloat or be an arse.

I vividly remember 2007 and 2008 and the whoopin's the Cubs delievered to the Cards.

Everything goes in cycles.

So far this year, the Cubs have been bitten badly by the injury bug, and it's hard to come back from that.

There's no argument that the Cubs were the best team on paper to start this season. HECK - even with all the mid-season moves, the Cubs might still be better than the Cards on paper... but the pieces just never fell into place.

I just love baseball and I love watching Cards/Cubs even more. Baseball means a lot to me, as I have a former MLB player in my family (hint: Royals then Cardinals) - and I think this rivalry is way more meaningful and less commercial and fake that the ESPN-loving Red Sox / Yanks malarky.

Injuries have been a convenient excuse, but this team hasn't played well even when fully healthy.
