Looking at the box score.... once again I see we gave up runs in the next AB after scoring them. I think over the years that is the single most maddening aspect of this team for me.

I know everyone thinks they have pixie dust or whatever, but I honestly don't see the Cardinals in the World Series. I don't think their lineup is that good outside of Pujols and Holliday (and yes those are 2 formidable players).

 

Their top 2 in their rotation are really really good and both have playoff experience, but I feel like a team like the Phillies will shut them down offensively and take the series. I think they have a better than average chance to beat the Dodgers but won't get past the Phillies (assuming they beat the Rockies).

 

My NL Playoff prediction:

Cardinals over Dodgers in 4

Phillies over Rockies in 4

Phillies over Cardinals in 6
