No doubt. For awhile there, and I posted about it a few times, I thought he was winning me over. Then he remembered he sucked.

 

Finally a deserving penalty.

I don't mind that if it isn't from the circles. They love to take those bad angle shots, and then they miss the net (esp. Campbell) and the puck clears the zone on the far side on its own.

i don't see how you can be afraid of thomas' cotnract and not ward's, even considering age. ward's career save percentage is .905 and he's never had a season above .916.

 

combine that with the fact that after this season he'll average 6.3 mil over the following 6 years, and noooo thanks.

 

None of this matters as I believe the Hawks are extremely high on Niemi and they really want him to be the #1.

The first goal was no doubt the result of bad defense. You cannot blame Niemi in any way for that goal. The second one, yeah, there was a defensive breakdown. But he gave a fat rebound and then yet the putback get under him. Saturday night he would have made that stop.
