I started doubting after the recent stretch if the Hawks were the best team in the West. I was hoping this game would be a barometer. The first 10 minutes of the game looked very promising. The rest of the game has been anything but. But we are on the road and haven't been home for like 2 1/2 weeks. Also San Jose is probably the toughest place to play in hockey.

there's a bit of a difference between thinking we'll lose and conceding. after the second period there was good reason to believe it would be a tough game to win

well i dont think anyone thought it was over, but there was reason to be very confident, considering the hawks have dominated the sharks pretty much every time they've met this season (even in the game they lost)

I didn't think the game was over, but I figured getting spotted a 3 goal lead in the first 10 minutes of the game gave us good odds. I also didn't expect the Hawks to go without a goal the rest of the game so far.

I expected this one to be a little different than the previous meetings considering how especially well the Sharks have been playing lately.
