The SOG thing is such an overrated stat when it comes to this team. Every time I see a Hawks game, I see them shooting pucks from the blue line and from some angles where it would take a picture-perfect shot to knock it past the goalie.

 

That being said, they were owning the Sharks the first two periods of this game. I figured it was only a matter of time before they scored a goal but then we give it right back. Not good.

He's been dropping a lot and they've been going over his shoulder. On the first goal he dropped down but didnt defend the inside post and they shot it right between him and the post for a goal.

Right, I get that but I don't really think that stat alone tells you whether or not you're dominating an opponent. For some teams that play a more conventional style of hockey, it probably does but not with us. That's basically our bread and butter.

it really sucks that we lost, but it's really good to see them dominate the hell out of these assholes once again.

 

as of right now i feel really really good aobut the hawks chances against the sharks if they meet in the playoffs (it might be asking too much of the sharks to not choke in the first 2 rounds though)
