2-0!!!! I would love to somehow turn this into a blow out. It would be fun to beat the crap out of the Red Wings, even if it's a watered down version of them.

Starting with the Boston game last Friday, there are 8 games that are going to be huge in determining playoffs, playoff seeding and even home ice in the finals. We are off to a good start thus far.

i've felt like since the san jose game they haven't been playing that well, yet they've still won 6 of their last 7. awesome

it really is the amazing part of this team. you feel like things aren't going our way and we're struggling but we're still rolling out wins and picking up points all over the place.

I thought they weren't playing their best for awhile, but since the Buffalo game I felt like the quality of play has picked way up and back to normal standards. Gotta love being a fan of a team where you don't just expect to beat every team in the league, you expect to beat every team in the league by multiple goals.

Since no other top WC teams are in action tonight, a win would give the Blackhawks sole possession of the number 1 seed in the West for the night.

Edit: And only 2 points behind NJ and PIT for most points in hockey. The only team that has more points/game than the Hawks is the Devils, who will have had 2 more points than the Hawks with the same number of games played. We'll pass them in due time :)

Yep, with I think at least one game in hand on all of them.

1 game in hand over SJ (47 pts), 2 games in hand over Nashville (47 points), and 3 games in hand over LA (47) and Colorado (46)

Three of our last four games have been shutouts. They are starting to look really good again.

Let's put up a touchdown on the Sharks again.

This is a dumb question, but when a team wins in a shootout, they are given a "goal" in the final score, so if the Hawks win in a shootout, it's 3-2 Hawks or something. Does that goal count in the teams goals allowed stats? I'm assuming it doesn't, but I think it's a dumb way to present a final score IMO. I look at overtimes and shootouts like the game ends in a tie and both teams get a point, but they continue playing for that extra point. I don't know, it sounds weird that way but I hate the idea of OTL's. I'd rather them present the score as "Chicago 2 Detroit 2. Chicago wins in shootout 2-1" or something like that instead of "Chicago 3 Detroit 2 F/SO"

That's 2 consecutive shutouts for Huet isn't it?

I'm not sure what the answer is but doesn't soccer do the bolded part.

Yes.

Yup.

And no, the goal they put on the score in SO games doesn't go in the stats. It is weird, but it's a way to show who won the game in the box score, I guess.

The Hawks are projected to finish with a 56-19-7 with 118 points. That's amazing and would be the most points in franchise history (previous high is 107). I know the points are given out much differently than before and in a way that gives teams more points, but that's still pretty awesome. It would also be the most wins in franchise history (previous high 49) but again, wins are much more common nowadays.
