On a Sharks board:

This has NOTHING to do with Chicago. Sharks are a more talented team and actually have a goaltender. The score is a result of the Sharks playing like crap. Just like last year the Sharks were outplayed almost every game in the 2nd half. They managed to win anyway. That isn't going to happen against a good team.

Haha, keep believing that. We already have more PPG than you, and we just got back one of the better players in the NHL for the first time all season.

Hopefully thier goaltending will hold up until after the trade deadline. Then they will have to hope Niemi can get the job done because there is no way they are going to win a Cup with Huet in net. Maybe a round at the most.

You are a month behind on your news. I agree I still don't completely trust Huet, especially in the playoffs, but he's been pretty great for a few weeks now. In fact, for the season he's 4th in the NHL in GAA

I was going to respond to this by saying the Blackhawks are the best team in the league, but dexter already did that for me.

San Jose looking like a one line team. Shut down Thornton, Marleau, and Heatley and there's not too much behind them. Granted, they are playing poorly and we look like an All-star team, but they just don't look like I was expecting. Kane, Toews, and Hossa have some kinda talent. We are in for something special. This team has some real depth as well.

HAHAHAHAHA! Eat that, SJ. Guess they didn't want to wait until the playoffs to choke in a big game this year.

lol if every game were like this (domination of a great team, no problem), i could probably drum up some interest, haha

Hossa just tied Marty for goals this season.

Sassone was on to something after all. I didn't think Hossa would fit in this quickly. But I don't think I knew how good he is.

did you guys hear melrose ealrier talking about how the hawks should wait until the win streak is over before putting hossa back in the lineup because nobody deserved to lose their spot right now? ha

No kidding. From earlier commentary in the thread... I agree that San Jose is basically a one line team. If you can control Thornton/Marleau/Heatley, you can beat this team. Take a look at their goal scoring -- 47% of their total goals (including d-men goals) come from that line: 44 to 39. That's not good.

And that's why his last coaching gig lasted like a week.

how [expletive] awesome would it be to go undefeated on the circus trip?

I can't see us losing to Anaheim, but LA might be a tough one, but they could easily win them both.
