I've started a group for the Yahoo College Football Pick'em contest (using confidence points). Group ID, 17455; password, gocubs. I'm also in an NFL Pick'em group (straight picks). The commissioner said to invite others, so I didn't see the need to set up a separate group specifically for NSBB. That group ID is 34563 and the password is azcardswin (at least he's a Cub fan). He also plans to start a Survival Football group; I'll post details then.

I set up the group for Survival Football (league ID 19122; password cutler). It's close to the start of the season; someone else and I seemed to get our signals crossed and we were waiting for each other to start the group. There's a new feature this year that allows the commissioner to set elimination for one, two, or three incorrect picks. I set it for two; that way those who forget about the early game on Thursday during week 1 (which seems to happen every year) will still be alive. As always, if there's still enough time remaining in the season after the contest ends the group can be reset for a new contest.

I'm Forte Knox in both groups if anyone cares. :P

I sent out an email to some work buddies to join up on these also...hope you don't mind.

That's fine. They're not strictly NSBB contests anyway; there are members of fantasy leagues I'm in participating as well. The more, the better.

A reminder that, beginning this week, there are Thursday night games, so Survival Football picks must be made by then to avoid an automatic strike.

It's the longest anyone has lasted in any Survival contest I've been in. In the past the contest has always ended and been reset by this time.

If more than one person remains they're all considered tied. There are no tie-breakers in Survival Football like there are in other contests. Unofficially anybody with no strikes at the end of the season could consider themselves to be ahead of anyone remaining alive but with one strike.

Yep; I actually picked a 6-7 team to win next week (considering that their opponent is 1-12, though, it should be a good pick).

I've got New Orleans and Denver all saved up for weeks 16 and 17, just have to pick a winner this week.

The N.O. one could be worthless considering they could start benching.

Yep, still ridiculous.

I'll take New Orleans over Tampa next week.

Pittsburgh blowing that game at home to KC is the only thing keeping me from being perfect also. This was easily my best run as well.

Lesson learned: Never save a good team. By the time you use them, they may not be a good team anymore.
