Well I think it's safe to say that Fukudome's sophomore season is a wee bit better than his rookie year.

I hope Jhoulys Chacin pitches tonight. The Rockies are so damn good at finding non-big name Latin arms and turning them into stud prospects (Ubaldo Jimenez, Franklin Morales, Chacin and Esmil Rogers).

Yeah they are, but we kinda are too. Z, Angel, Juan, Carlos etc.

 

Z and Angel were relatively big names though (Z got a $500,000 bonus and Guzman got $50,000 from the Royals before he failed his physical back when $50k was a big deal). Cruz and Marmol were good finds though.

 

The Rockies are also getting them from all over Latin America - Jimenez is from Mexico, Morales and Chacin are from Venezuela, and Rogers is from the DR.

True, I honestly didn't follow it that closely when we got Z and the Guz. I was going more off of that BA had him ranked lower than Prior and Cruz.

I'd love to see a stat seeing how many innings in which we give runs back in the next opponent AB after scoring 2 or more our previous AB, and where we rank in baseball in this stat.
