Padilla diagnosed with swine flu

According to Jamey Newberg of the Newberg Report, Texas right-hander Vicente Padilla has been diagnosed with swine flu.

Padilla was scratched from a scheduled start Wednesday with flu-like symptoms, but this is obviously much more serious than the Rangers could have expected. If he has been around the clubhouse recently, which he probably has, teammates and staff members may have also contracted the virus. Tests are probably being run as we speak. He's still scheduled to start Tuesday against the Tigers, but that could soon change.

I can't decide whether I should laugh at this or have some sort of concern about it

Yeah, during the Royals game, when the Rangers won, instead of doing the traditional high fiving and all that, they basically did an imagionary high fiving while their gloves were covering their mouths.

That's a pretty messed up thing to think, much less type.

Unless my sarcasm meter is broken, I'm willing to bet he was being serious and that really did happen
