Babe Lugo homers for St Louis. 8-1 now in the 8th.

my prediction is that lugo rakes for a year and a half while the red sox pay for it and wonder where the hell this was when he was playing there, then the cubs sign him to a two-year deal to fill the hole at 2B and he becomes an old man who hits .150.

This seems like it's going to be a humorous, yet frustrating, second half of the season.

Probably not. Ankiel and Lugo will quickly be replaced by Schumaker and Rasmus.

I see a lot of shallow and infield RBI hits for the Cards + a Lugo home run. Sounds like a typical Cards game.

Unfortunately, the typical Cards game consisted of Pujols with a multi-HR game and nothing else.

Guess who has more RBI, the #1 guy on the cardinals list after Pujols, or the #1 guy on the Cubs?

Wait, damn, Lee's two RBI put him ahead of Ludwick

edit: and the #3-5 on the Cards are all basically tied with 2-4 on the Cubs

The Mets have 13 hits. But in typical Mets fashion, they only have 4 runs and Johan wasn't very good tonight.

I bet Valverde will struggle in the 9th before wiggling his way out of trouble to preserve the save.
