Milton's approach clearly isn't the problem. He's had no trouble getting ahead in the count. But how often does he just softly ground out on 2-0, 3-1, etc?

If this is any incidation of how Moyer will pitch the rest of the game, we should be able to score 5+.

Note the use of the word "should" instead of "can" or "will"

Way too often.

Can anyone imagine Albert Pujols - or any other elite first baseman - taking four pitches that close to the plate and not exceeding 81 mph the way Lee just did?

That's what I'm saying. You know he can't overpower you with anything so why take anything close to the plate? He HAS to throw strikes to be effective and can't make mistakes, so just go up swinging.

Me if I replaced Von Joshua for today's game only:

"Guys, Moyer's fastball tops out lower than today's temperature. He may try to come inside occasionally, but mostly he's going to stay away. Look to take the ball to the opposite field, but whatever you do, go up there swinging!"

CUBS have stolen 4 bases in their last 27 games.... one in their last 16 games

Go CUBS !!

That is a really pathetic statistic.

Not really.

You're hired. Bring the fire and passion to the line up as well!
