When you lose total control of the bat like that it should somehow be classified differently than "struck out swinging."

He struck out spazzing.

Gary Matthews JUST said on the broadcast that Ryan Theriot wouldnt be a starter on most MLB teams.

Love or hate Theriot (I'm somewhere in between), that's absolutely absurd. He's been a hell of a lot better than Rollins this year.

Did Sarge coach him?

Theriot is better than most SS in baseball. Good range, perpetual .300 hitter... prototypical #2 hitter.

Theriot is better than most SS in baseball. Good range

Ryan Theriot has horrible range.

I disagree he gets to most balls that he should. That is good range. Not Great or Excellent, but good.

I was thinking, Werth hit a walkoff homer for the Phillies last night. Who was the last Cub other than Aramis to hit a walkoff homer for us. I honestly can't remember. Maybe somebody is slipping my mind last year.

Why have a shift where your guys is too deep to even throw out the hitter?

If he hadn't had to move back on it, he would have been able to throw him out
