Probable starter for Boise tonight: Robert Whitenack

Sorry I'm behind on box score updates; studying for the bar exam's been killing me. After next Wednesday, things will be back to normal!

Good luck on your exam.

different save for huseby today - 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K. might be his longest outing of the year, but it's nice to see him pitch multiple innings and still be very effective.

he didnt get roughed up, he walked the house, by the looks of it was lucky not to give up more runs, must have been scattered..

Side NOTE.. i have heard from my sources....

Starter Dan McDaniel is being moved to the Bullpen

Reliever Henry Williamson is to Start from now on..

Vitters with another error today

Good moves - McDaniel was better last year in a closer role and Williamson has been inconsistent, but has good stuff. Maybe he's been working on a new pitch or two? It looks like Mateo is back to the bullpen as well (he pitched in relief today).

Pinch hit walk for Jackson. The man is a walking machine

The next Milton Bradley.

Does anyone know if BJ Ryan has pitched at all yet?

Doesn't look like it, but he's on Mesa's roster.

I disagree that it's a good move. McDaniel is a better prospect than Williamson and could use all the innings he can get, even if he's going to end up as a reliever. He was doing well as a starter overall (he was really strong in April and was pretty good in May and July). And in terms of doing better last year, it wasn't very likely he'd replicate his 1.67 ERA and 1.4 K/9 in shortseason even if he was relieving at Daytona.

I hope it might just be to limit his IP since this is his first full season of starting since HS. I want to see him starting again next season at Tennessee.
