And in turn, could Soriano play RF adequately?

I don't think Milton could handle CF without something in his body exploding, but he's obviously struggling with the sun on day games out there in RF. This isn't the first time it's happened this year.

Soriano has showed in other ballparks that he isn't exactly the best at battling the sun either. I don't think switching them would help.

That's kind of what I thought too. If Bradley wasn't made of glass moving him to CF and moving Kosuke back to RF might work, but unfortunately I feel like we're stuck. Just thought I'd bring it up and see what others thought.

I don't think Bradley has trouble seeing the ball. I just don't think he gives a damn whether he catches it half the time. I don't trust an important position like center in Milton Bradley's hands.

Oh come on. That's an absurd thing to say.

hahaha what

cubs are pretty screwed either way. i would hate to move Fuk Master Flex out of center, and soriano isn't going to be much better in right than bradley currently is.

yeah i'm surprised he even takes his glove out there with him, to be honest.

Maybe he could take only his hat and try to catch it behind his back with it. Something that I did when I was a little kid. Although that might show passion for the game so never mind. He wouldn't do that.

How about Soriano goes to the bench where he belongs, we move Sam Fuld to right, Bradley to left?

If you're suggesting Fuld as an everyday player I think that would be a huge, huge mistake.

I don't expect him to hit .600, but can we get worse than Soriano? He's hitting in the low .200s, with an OBP that doesn't break .300. Even if it isn't a permanent thing, it would at least light a fire under Soriano when he realizes his big contract isn't enough to guarantee him a spot in the lineup.

I think Soriano has a better chance of hitting well again then Fuld does of being even decent as a MLB player. Even if Soriano isn't good by past Soriano standards him playing decently again would be better than what we are likely to get from Fuld.

True, but we're at the beginning of July and Soriano isn't even playing decently. This might be bordering on requiring another topic all together, but is benching a perennial all-star who is vastly underachieving a viable way of lighting a fire under him? Or do you let him stay at the top of the lineup and remain a black hole until he figures out his swing again?

Dude just needs to grit up and catch the ball with his teeth.

You know, Sam Fuld-style.

If Milton Bradley can play shortstop with John McDonald type defense than his contract might be worth the production.
