A guy suddenly figuring it out at a bit of an advanced age is always a tricky thing to figure out. To use a Cub as an example most people didn't expect Soto to be for real since it took so long for him to figure it out and he sort of came out of nowhere but that obviously worked out last season at least. Wouldn't surprise me if McGehee has a similar big season followed by mediocrity.

 

The situations aren't similar.
