Pujols numbers through June 30th

.332 .453 .743 1.197

30HR

77RBI

Unreal season.

Sosa 2001 through June 30th

.306 .422 .665 1.087

26HR

75RBI

Sosa 1998 through June 30th

.327 .386 .676 1.062

33HR

79RBI

Oh my god I didn't realize he was on that kind of a pace. Sosa's 2001 was just ridiculous.

On pace for 62 HR and 159 RBI.

I suppose you Cubs fans can take heart in the hope that he's so infuriated with how miserably the rest of the Cards are hitting, defending, and running the basepaths that he's that much more likely to bolt for a gigantic contract somewhere else.

I'm not sure which set of fans are more upset with their team right now. I think if Pujols came out publically and said "Our front office did a terrible, terrible job creating a team around me, the best talent you've seen since Musial and Gibson. Blame Dewitt, I'm signing with the Red Sox for a quarter billion." , it would result in our majority owner DeWitt becoming public enemy #1 in St Louis, most likely resulting in a lynch mob. Or, perhaps, some mild boo'ing from the bleachers.

So tghe last time I checked Pujols' numbers was like a week ago when he had 24HR... I had no idea he had hit 30 already. Unreal.

31. He went yard last night.

He's on another planet right now.

Right now, I would have considered walking him last night with the bases loaded...And Im serious

1 out with the Reds up 3-0. Id take giving up the 1 run and take my chances with Ludwick and Ankiel to follow.

If it comes to the playoffs, he will not be pitched to, and Mark DeRosa, Ryan Ludwuick, and Rick Ankiel arent going to change that.

I don't think they make the playoffs.
