Breaking News (ha, always wanted to type that): Justin Bristow coming off the DL to start for us tonight. Archer will start tomorrow.

Thanks. Are there any corresponding moves?

Mike Perconte on the DL. Strained left calf. Lot of that going around these days, I think it is contagious.

Cabrera and Carpenter will handle Monday's DH after Hatley throws Sunday vs. QC.

Solid outings out of Searle (outside of the walks) and Bristow.

Searle: 5.1 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 1 HBP, 1 HR, 8 GO-3 FO

Bristow: 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 7 GO-4 FO

Bristow tied for his longest outing of the season (4th time) - not bad for the first start off the DL.

Vitters is 0 for 2 but got hit by yet another pitch.

castro is 3-5 (all singles) with a SB. it's an extremely empty BA, but .301 is pretty good for a 19 year old at high A and he's at least showing good contact skills.

hopefully he will pick up some power as he matures and magically develop patience too.

If he's got good contact skills, he might already have good strike zone recognition. I think players with a good eye can develop a more patient approach. I don't think many players can develop a good eye, though.

Coleman had a good game too. 7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HR.

1.67 ERA in his last 5 starts (32.1 IP).

I agree. His only problem is that he's in this organization and not somewhere else. Just look at Hanley Ramirez when he was 19 in Low-A: .275/.327/.403
