The Central is now the most compelling div by a mile....as of this posting only 5 games seperate 1st from 6th! With the Cards and your Cubs forgetting how to hit, and Brews cooling off, the God awful Bucs and Stro's are closing the gap!!

I don't remember a race this close in June. If this keeps up it's gonna be an exiting season. BTW, when is Ramirez due back?

Unfortunately it's because the division has been fairly mediocre.

This division may not be terrible, but it's surely not very good. A division full of teams at or near .500 is probably not going to get a whole lot of national discussion.

The AL East is far more compelling than the NL Central

The AL East is close, but it's the same old story. Yanks and Sawks. There are now just 4 games between 1st and 6th in the NL Cen. But I do realize we would have to have a 6 way tie for 1st to get any National notice.

No, we just need to have a team in the division that is better than 5 games over .500. Being close isn't compelling. Being good is.

4 of the 5 teams in the AL East are above .500, and just 5 games separates first from fourth.

2 of the 6 teams in the NL Central are above .500.

The 4th place Blue Jays would be a game out in the NL Central
