Why dont the White Sox go after Durham and Edmonds?

As bad as theyve been this year, that sickly division is well up for grabs. Dye, Konerko, Thome, and AJ are all nearing the end of their contracts, and I doubt any of them will be resigned, so why not go all out before its time to rebuild? Sign a few ols guys who last year proved they can still play the game. Granted, they'll be an old, old team, but they'll be a powerful one.
