I traded Joey Votto (1B) for Prince Fielder (1B). It's a H2H league.(R,HR,RBI,SB,AVG.) My thinking was Prince will eventually hit. Votto is a good player though. Should I have made this trade?

No to the thread title. Yes to the question in your post. I'm fairly confident Prince will have better numbers at the end of the season, and I'm a pretty huge fan of Joey Votto.

I think its so close its just a matter for preference. Fielder is actually a year younger but he he tends to hack at it a lot more. Fielder is the type of player that will have a rapid decrease in results in my opinion. He doesn't stay in good shape and when his bat starts to slow he likely won't adjust and will continue to hack at it. He's only 24 so his bat won't be slowing any time soon. I the way I look at it is Fielder = more homeruns and RBIs, while Votto = higher avg/obp.
