why? havlat is a dirty player; lidstrom plays the game with class. you shouldn't root for injuries to guys like lidstrom.

Fine pick a guy on Detroit and I want them out for the season(s). Chelios doesn't count.

you pick one. all i'm saying is that i'm not going to feel bad for a dirty player who got hurt when someone gave it back to them. especially a guy like havlat who runs and hides when it's time to pay for his dirty play.

the Wings are definitely going to make us pay for not scoring during the last 7 minutes.

100% agree that was embarrassing... plus the majority of this PP times is going to even out inevitably because it always does. Wings have 2-3 PPs coming.

Looked like a clean hit to me.

yah, its totally legal to hit a guy who never had the puck. while leaving your feet and following through with a flying elbow. oh, and going straight for a headshot as well.

What a weird period. I don't think I've ever seen a team spend that much time on the PP in one period.

The good news is that Detroit is down to 5 d-men and they all have 10 minutes of PK time on their legs. Should be nice and tired in the third period.

The puck was at his feet. It's weird that they called it interference. It was charging, it was elbowing, it was a lot of things, but it wasn't interference.

The puck DID hit Havlat's skate... should NOT have been interference.

My major problem is that Kronwall cared NOT about the puck but hitting Havlat.

Should have been 5 for charging IMO.

yah, havlat did a few dumb things a logn time ago. he isn't dirty now. if they will take headshots on the hawks best players, hawks should give it right back to them. that meands lidstrom and zetterberg should be marked men

No kidding. Where do you get this 'Havlat is a dirty player' business from?

It was a borderline hit. It could've been called either way. I think the fact that he went a little high was caused for a call. A major? I don't know.

But here's the point. Regardless, he was trying to hurt Havlat. That doesn't mean it was a bad hit. But still, Ben Eager needs to destroy someone. I mean murder someone. I don't care if he gets suspended, it's worth it to put one of their guys out. Tit for tat. If it's legal, all the better. But I don't really care at this point.

because hitchock and the flyers whined about havlat's 'stickwork' like 7 years ago. probably while the flyers were busy losing yet another playoffs series

Hossa/Zetterberg/Lidstrom please... lets have a 15 minute delay as he gets fully immobilized and carried to the ambulance.

Ah, during the dark ages. I could hardly watch the Hawks all those years, let alone the Eastern Conference.

Obviously I'm concerned that it's only 2-0. And no doubt, like Sharp said in the interview with Harwood, the guys were very scattered on that PP because they were upset about the hit. I'd like to see them score another goal and then get back to even strength so the retribution can get on.

Need to regroup in the 2nd now. Those PPs were very disorganized. Edited by Soul
