Face it buddy, these scrums after freezes are normal for hockey, they're a give and take. Get used to it and stop complaining. Its not that the refs are out to get the hawks when out of 6 scrums there are no calls...maybe its that you don't know what should be a penalty in hockey (especially after a whistle). I know you watch a ton of hockey, plenty enough to know this, but it seems like it hasn't sunk in.

Honestly, I thought the TSN announcers were slurping the Hawks pretty hard that period, first time in the series.

 

He compared Seabrook to Ray Bourque, for goodness sake.

You're on the other end of the extreme... "LET EVERYTHING GO!"

 

There are scrums after plays which is a part of playoff hockey. Typically it includes 2 teams involved in the scrum and the refs just let it go because it's emotion because of the playoffs.

 

Then you have those times where one team makes run/cheap shots players whether it be before or after the whistle trying to make them retaliate... usually it works after a time or two.

 

THEN you have the team who is getting completely demolished in a playoff series who tries to win by being cheap players. When the actually skilled team just takes crosschecks/face washes/slashes/punches/dirty hits and do not retaliate. You HAVE to call this BS after awhile.

 

It's ridiculous they let THAT MANY calls go uncalled, and obviously I'm not alone here.

Interesting comments by Pierre McGuire there. For those not watching Vs., he pointed out all the jawing going on between the Hawks and Iginla, and that the Hawks were saying some inappropriate things.

A)Its not just playoffs, its all hockey. This isn't basketball.

 

B)Actually that first one where Ollie blatantaly railroaded Jharlmarson was pretty blatant and not a scrum and the refs called that one. That situation was way different than any of the scrums that followed.

 

C)Its amazing how you can watch these scrums and see the blackhawks as not part of it at all.."OMG Walker got elbowed! Somehow I didn't see him wash out Iginla, it looked to me like he was reading bedtime stories to children in the cancer ward of a hospital, those refs hate cancer-ridden children because they aren't calling a penalty on the flames!"
