pujols, reyes, howard, upton must be some kind of joke in that auction league

your first league has nasty pitching

Alexei already has SS elig in Yahoo, i dont know about other formats

i'm sorry GR but he's going to win R, HR, RBI, SB, OPS nearly every week. with that roster i'd probably trade off all pitching for good relievers and win 8 categories most weeks.

Don't apologize to me, I'll be fine. But I'm not giving in just yet. I realize this is a crude estimate, but just going off of ESPN's projections for 2009 (I know, far, far from perfect, but), my starters' projected totals are higher than his in R, HR, and RBI (he cleans up in SBs, probably OPS too). I'm not hanging my hat on ESPN projections and the variances from week to week can be great. But I don't think the rest of us should throw in the towel just yet.

Yeah, it's only a 10 team league. Not that Truffle's offense isn't very good, but I don't think it's quite head and shoulders above the pack. For a quick comparison:

   Truffle GRCubsFan My Team
C Doumit Soto Shoppach/Mauer
1B Pujols Teixeira Gonzalez
2B Roberts Kinsler Utley
3B Ramirez C. Davis Wright
SS Reyes Tulowitzki Rollins
MI Johnson Peralta Hardy
CI Howard Votto Atkins
OF BJ Upton Kemp Crawford
OF Ellsbury Rios Ibanez
OF Hart J. Upton Ethier
OF Jones Bruce C. Young
OF Cameron Cruz Hawpe
UT Chipper Crisp Milledge

i think i have the best hitting but my pitching is pretty mediocre. i spent heavily on pujols and reyes because i thought they were undervalued in the draft - i got them for $41 and $39, and BP's projection tool suggested that they were worthy of around $55 expenditures. i wanted to (a) get bargains on undervalued players and (b) get a couple of elite bats, and i felt like i did that in getting pujols and reyes while still preserving 70% of my money for other guys.

with ellsbury, upton, roberts and reyes, i should win steals just about every week, and i think that howard, pujols and chipper will give me a big ops. i could lose RBI some week though - some of those high-steal guys like ellsbury and roberts are just not going to knock in many runs.
