Speaking of Kosuke, has Team Japan played any exhibition games?

I think they played Seattle recently.

That doesn't make sense, unless the Mariners have spring training in Japan.

Well Seattle isn't all that far from Japan :)

This link says that Japan has played 6 exhibition games (I assume all against Nippon teams). I'm curious how Kosuke did in those games.

Robnett has some decent wheels.

Yeah, that might work out to be a decent move picking him up. He probably will never be a everyday guy, but he could possibly be part of a platoon or 4/5 OF.

The clutch blew up, and did some damage to the trans.

Guess that's a little too severe for bubblegum and bailing wire :-))

Yeah, definitely not a roadside fix..... but I was able to limp it in to the shop, so that is a moral victory, eh?

Since when can Hart hit 98 on the gun? I have to assume this gun is hot.

Per BA, he was routinely at 94-96 mph last year at AAA as a reliever. It's certainly possible that he can top out at 98.

Sorry to hear about you breaking down, Fred.

I just read that Kosuke had a grand slam, single, and a walk in Team Japan's exhibition win over the Yomiuri Giants. I'm not sure how he did in the other 5 exhibition games.

I read on Rotoworld that Fukudome walked all 4 times he came to the plate in their last exhibition game. None of the Japanese players on major league teams got a hit in that game, which was Ichiro, Fukudome, Johjima and one other player whom I have forgotten. Maybe Kaz Matsui?
