Why not take a chance with him. He's still a top ten pitcher when healthy, and if we could get him for cheap because of his injury, we wouldn't have to give up anything.

I'm fairly certain he won't be ready any time soon, if at all. I think he's probably closer to retirement than pitching again. Plus, would he really go somewhere other than the Braves? He doesn't seem like a paycheck chaser to me.

I would assume he'd stay with the Braves too, but he wouldn't be chasing a paycheck to come to us, he'd be chasing another chance at the WS.
