Ideas to fix the team for 2009

First of all, how much better could the team really get? That's the sad thing.

 

Anyways my thoughts:

 

Mike Fontenot needs to be a starter, I think he's on the verge of a breakout season. Regardless, there's no room for him really because Theriot and DeRosa aren't going anywhere.

 

The outfield is kind of an enigma. I'd imagine Reed will be back, Edmonds probably won't. Pie will get another shot, he's shown glimpses of improved plate discipline, so maybe he'll take over, that'd be nice. Fukudome was a failed experiment, think any team would take him in a trade?

 

I think Harden and Dempster will be back and how great would it be to have good old Rich Hill get back on track. Bye Marquis.
