Hey yall I just got back from the game. I picked up a bleacher ticket for 100 in section 305 at game time so I got lucky. But this is more about the song being played in the 8th. Why the hell did they play that? It just made me feel even more sick, giving the cubs the same image we've been tyring to get rid of.

Also, Roast did you eject some drunk guy in a green shirt in the 9th? I thought it looked like you but wasn't sure.

Frankly, I think that song sucks.

Agreed, love Eddie, song sucks. Sounds like a lame-ass irish drinking song. Eddie should have re-done Go -Cubs go, that would have been cool.

:puke

Go cubs go jumped the shark a while ago. As evidenced by the Beloosh's craptastic performance at the rally.

I've been thinking about the Vedder song for a while now. It's not a song about winning. It's a song about hope and longing and the belief that someday things will be better for Cubs fans. It's a song for singing once the pain has past and you're again wondering why you've kept doing this to yourself. I think it's a song written to provide comfort for cold October nights. I think it was delivered as a salve to have in hand before the wounds were made, and a song to help heal them. Here's hoping it doesn't need to do so this year.

I've thought the same way for awhile. Well put though.
