He's the best manager of my lifetime, and nobody else is particularly close. The only guy who's close for the expansion era would be Durocher, and I'm pretty sure Lou blows him out of the water for not being such an ass.

I can dig it. Lou's made his share of dumb moves, but he's much better than a number of other options out there.

 

Agreed 100%.

 

Lou has his flaws, but he's like Einstein compared to Dusty's Villiage Idiot.

I just can't see a Lou managed club going below .500. I can't see a Lou club not being in the pennant race.

 

His tenure with the Rays didn't happen. . . nope.
