After the Cubs ripped my heart out and stomped on it yesterday it was good to see my three favorite football teams (Bears, Colts, and Panthers) win on the same day for the first time all year. And two of them (Bears and Panthers) have sole possession of first place in their divisions.

LJ can take his 0.2 fantasy points and shove them where the sun doesn't shine.

Having a running back on your team about to turn 29 is usually a bad idea.

Jacksonville went from looking good to being embarrassed by Pittsburgh in florida.

that was some one-sided reffing in that game, and I was rooting for (betting on) Jax.

thank you god for felix jones

You're welcome.

It's funny how he's doing exactly what he did at Arkansas: Returning kicks for touchdowns, getting 1/3 to 1/2 of the other back's carries, and averaging a cartoonish YPC on those limited carries. I didn't think he'd break in this fast, though I believed he'd be a very good player.

How is losing 26-21 to a consensus Super Bowl contender an embarassment? The Jags haven't been particularly good this year, but I don't think last night was an example of that.

Two of their TDs would likely not have occurred without bad penalty calls (the giant pass interference in the end zone and the Howry roughing the passer call that kept the drive alive, I think). The third was an int for a TD that happened because of a bad pass and a wide receiver slipping so he couldn't do anything (and a nice runback)

The two teams did not appear to be of roughly equal talent.

And Jacksonville was favored.

I wasn't particularly impressed with either team, but with the Pats & Colts down this year they each probably have a legit shot.

I think this is the year when the NFC is finally fielding teams that are better than the AFC. Right now I'd take the Skins & Giants over anything from the AFC in the Super Bowl.

I see your point. No idea why the Jags were favored though. I hadn't heard that before the game.

You're probably right. I still think the Titans - if for no other reason than the great defense - would keep the Skins and Giants close, but that's about the only AFC team looking good enough to like in the Super Bowl. AFC is certainly down this year, it appears.

Heck, I might be inclined to take any team from the NFC East over any other team in any game at this point. The entire division has a combined 10-1 record against teams in other divisions.

Wow, it looks like you're right. While I was checking that out, I noticed Cincinnati's body of work. Took the Giants to OT, lost by a TD in NY, pushed the Cowboys in Dallas, 1 td loss to the Ravens. Beaten badly by the Titans and (the bad part of their resume) lost to the Browns. That's not a team that's 0-5 bad.

Bears are the only team in the NFL to deal a NFC East team a loss this year.

Well the only team not from the NFC East to do that anyway. ;)

I need a BIG BIG BIG day from Brees to keep my chances of winning in fantasy alive this week. Good start. I also have Meachem so hopefully im not dead yet.

How on Earth can the Vikings be this bad running the ball when they've got Adrian Peterson, a human road grater for a left tackle, and a heck of sidekick in Hutchison on the left side?

Embarrassing.

So just have Taylor throw for the TD, LOL.

I really, truly hate fantasy football. Adrian Peterson pretty much every week puts up 15-20 points for me. This week, that's all I need to win. So what has Peterson done to this point? 5 carries, 2 yards.

Crazy game. It should be noted that the Saints' best DT is out, and Minny STILL can't run.

Yet because of Saints gaffes and bad ref calls, the Vikes are in position to take control of the game with like 50 total yards of offense. LOL.

The Saints must have watched a bunch of video from their past before the game.

That's probably not a real good idea.
