This is bitter sweet, hell, I would have loved for the Cubs to face the Mets but they helped keep the Cubs out of the playoffs in 2004 so I shed no tears for that bunch of losers.

The Cubs bullpen has the 3rd most blown saves in baseball since the All Star Break.

 

I'm not sure that it means much. The Cubs have had a few blown saves in the past 11 days, since clinching, which adds to the total. The back end of the bullpen is fine. Most every team is soft in middle relief.

I really wish the Cubs playing the Dodgers would have been more of a sure thing than it was (i.e. stupid Brewers for sucking for a couple weeks and blowing a 5.5 game lead). My brother lives in Santa Barbara so I could have gone down and stayed with him and then just driven down to the games with him.

Yeah. I read a release on the Dodgers' MLB site that said Kershaw will work out of the bullpen and that it could be either Maddux in Game 4 or Lowe on short rest, though it said that Torre doesn't like to use pitchers on short rest.
