April 2008: Andy wants the Panthers to draft Mendenhall and is pissed when they pick Stewart.

 

October 2008: Mendenhall gets hurt and Stewart is a very good second running back to complement DeAngelo.

 

This is like the 4th straight year I haven't liked our first-rounder and the 4th straight year I've been wrong. Although both Carolina's tackles got hurt against Atlanta and didn't return. That could be trouble.

I'm eating similar crow with the Titans' first rounder, Chris Johnson. I still think a receiver would have been a better pick, but Johnson is turning out to be more of a playmaker than I expected. I thought he'd be good, but the kid is one of the faster players in the NFL and has sick agility too.
