I really don't see anything stopping Hendry from resigning Dempster. We've heard alot about Hendry and Dempster's relationship and if he can get Demp to sign for anything less than 15 mil I'll be happy.

4/60 is too high. My guess would be around 3/36, and I do believe Hendry can get him for a discounted rate.

I think 3 years is a possibility but I think the minimum it would end up being is something 3/42.

If the Cubs are making any decisions at all about the future and are counting on Rich Hill being part of it, it's a really poor process.

 

At this point, you have to treat Hill like they treated Prior in '07. If he can come back and contribute, great. But they have to build their roster under the assumption that he will not.

Exactly. Hendry finally learned his lesson concerning Prior and Wood; hopefully he knows to apply the same thinking to Hill. If he comes back it's a pleasant bonus.
